- My son is 6 and he is a lot reading in first grade, he has reading homework every night. He loves science and space in particular, but it is difficult for him to find books that are accessible to his reading level. We found 'My Name is Stardust' to be thoroughly charming. It's informative and educational, but with all the whimsy of a book for younger children. The illustrations are captivating. I will definitely recommend this book to others and watch for more stories from this talented, young writer.
- I am so thankful for this book! I am an atheist, and I have three kids. I want them to know and understand science from a children's perspective. Religion has a hold on answering the "unanswerable", especially because of their manipulative tactics of "Sunday school" stories. This book brings the wonderful science of how we came to be down to a level that can be easily understood by children. Best of all it supports an open mind.
- Great antidote to kids being raised in the Bible belt. Also works well with preachy in-laws.
- Beautiful illustrations and inspiring scientific content for children. I would recommend this book to any parents looking for a book that gets children excited about science.
- Our son read this two months ago and will still talk about both it and points the book illuminated for him. He loves it and we love that. Highest recommendation.
- I ordered this book for my 4 year old and it just arrived tonight. I couldn’t wait to open it. I love this book. This illustrations are adorable and my son loves the story. We are introducing him to evolution and the Big Bang. This fits perfectly with the rest of our stories but, is by far my favorite.
- I love this book. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is wonderful. We are a family that believes in science and it warms my heart to have such a wonderful book to read to my son.
- This is a great little science book. But there is a page that states that fairies and unicorns DO NOT exists. Crushing for the 4yr old it was intended. Returning.
